Predicting Earthquakes

My Project is about predicting earthquakes based on previous statistics. I like to find out that how can we use past statistics to predict earthquakes. Scientist are trying to find out the prediction of the earthquakes but they can't predict earthquake because they don't have the tecnology to predict it.
